Now on its 32nd year, the International Workshop on Retroviral Pathogenesis will be held, for the first time, during the spectacular fall season in the Rocky Mountains, in Grand Hyatt Vail, Colorado, USA on October 12-16, 2022. The conference promises to continue its decades-long track record as a premiere forum for research on retroviruses in an intimate and collegial setting. We welcome abstracts on any topic related to retroviruses, including retrovirus discovery and zoonoses, phylogeny, molecular virology, virus-host interactions, endogenous retroviruses in health and disease, oncogenesis, pathogenesis, immunity and vaccines, animal models of disease and new therapeutics and technologies. As many retrovirologists have become part of the global COVID-19 response, we also welcome abstracts on SARS-CoV-2 inspired by decades of groundbreaking research on retrovirus biology. RETROPATH 2022 will be held in Grand Hyatt Vail, located at the base of 11,570 ft (3,527 m) Vail Mountain and situated along the banks of Gore Creek. After a recent, $65 million dollar renovation, the hotel features bold, vibrant architecture inspired by its scenic locale and welcoming service, with exclusive amenities ideal for both leisure travelers and conference attendees alike. The area boasts excellent hiking, fishing, golf and other outdoor activities, as well as world - class dining and shopping. The hotel is a 2 to 3-hour drive from Denver International Airport (DEN). EPIC Mountain Express provides round-trip direct shuttles from DEN. The registration fee will cover banquets, most meals and conference logistics. All registered participants are requested to book their rooms through a separate reservation portal for the hotel.
